Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and performance-focused WordPress Developer to build, customize, optimize, and maintain WordPress websites and portals for WebyCare. This role is responsible for developing fast, secure, and scalable WordPress-based systems including marketing websites, landing pages, and internal platforms.

You will work on theme customization, plugin development, performance optimization, security hardening, and feature development. This is a production engineering role, not a basic page builder job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and systems
• Build and customize WordPress themes and plugins as per requirements
• Convert designs into high-quality WordPress pages and templates
• Optimize WordPress websites for speed, performance, and SEO
• Ensure website security, updates, and regular maintenance
• Fix bugs, layout issues, and functionality problems
• Integrate APIs, forms, payment gateways, and third-party tools
• Improve existing WordPress systems and code quality
• Ensure cross-browser and device compatibility
• Manage staging, testing, and production deployments
• Maintain clean, structured, and maintainable code
• Work with frontend and backend teams for feature integration

Mandatory Skill Requirements:

• Strong experience with WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience in theme development and customization
• Experience in plugin development or advanced plugin customization
• Good understanding of MySQL and WordPress database structure
• Strong knowledge of WordPress performance optimization techniques
• Good understanding of WordPress security best practices
• Ability to convert Figma / design files into WordPress templates
• Experience with page builders and custom Gutenberg blocks (if applicable)
• Experience using Git or similar version control systems
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
